With over 25 years experience in recruitment – including a significant overseas assignment in 2006 – it was a natural move for Leanne Stevens to create Emergico Career Connect. As a Senior Manager and Executive in ambulance, Leanne knew only too well the value to an organisation of being able to secure reliable, skilled and experienced staff.

Emergico Career Connect’s Principal
Service, which needed to employ a large number of experienced paramedics, and was unable to find – or train – that volume of staff in Australia. Leanne led a small team which travelled to the United Kingdom, and successfully recruited 200 Paramedics for positions in Queensland.
The whole exercise required a sound knowledge of recruitment, but also involved an immigration perspective – as the candidates needed to secure Australian permanent residency visas in order to make the move. Leanne negotiated a Labour Agreement with the Department of Immigration and Citizenship; and was able to secure visas for all new employees and their families. Leanne then went on to become a Registered Migration Agent, and founded Emergico Migration and Relocation – a thriving Migration consultancy business.
Emergico Career Connect is a natural progression from Emergico Migration. Most people who engage Emergico Migration, evenually require an employer. And many employers have trouble finding staff!
But we didn’t want to offer the same sort of recruitment service as our competitors.

- Previous business experience as the owner of a motorsport medical safety team – working throughout the Asia Pacific Region.
